Meet Interim Head Coach Ryan Hernandez
Coach Ryan Hernandez
Poway is more than just a school to Coach Ryan Hernandez, it is home.
A proud graduate of Poway High School's Class of 2017, Coach Hernandez spent four years as a Titan football player and had the honor of serving as a team captain during his senior season. Through his experiences in the Poway football program, he developed the values of discipline, accountability, perseverance, and hard work, lessons that have shaped both his personal and professional journey.
Following graduation, Coach Hernandez returned to Poway and dedicated seven seasons to the football program, serving in a variety of coaching roles from 2018 to 2024. He began as the Freshman Defensive Coordinator before advancing through the ranks to become the Varsity Defensive Coordinator. During that time, he helped guide the Titans to numerous successes, including a CIF Championship in 2024—an achievement he is proud to have shared with the players, coaches, and community who made it possible.
Coach Hernandez is honored to return to Poway and lead a program that has had such a profound impact on his life. He is passionate about developing young men of character, building meaningful relationships, and continuing the proud tradition of Titan football.
